Day 2- The Meaning Behind Your Blog Name:

My blog name is a combination of 2 of my favorite songs by 2 of my favorite artists.

The first part: "Something Beautiful" is a song title by the band Needtobreathe. I fell in love with this song from the first second I heard it. To me, it talks about taking a risk, trusting, being consumed and getting something beautiful. We don't know where God will take us, what it will cost or entail, but we KNOW that when we are consumed by him we will become something beautiful, and so will our entire lives.

The second part: "Sometimes The Only Way is Jumping, Hope You're Not Afraid of Heights" is a lyric in a song sung by Gavin Degraw. The song is called "Meaning". The entire song is about how love is the reason there's a meaning to the world. How true is that? in so many ways. The love of God is the only reason there is meaning in this world. The love of one another is the reason there is meaning, without love, what is there to really live for? This particular line is beautiful to me. Sometimes, you just have to jump, and it's scary as hell. Not just in a romantic sense, but in every sense. Usually love is not safe, it's not easy. But the only way is just to jump. It's exhilarating, exciting, scary, fun, tough, and so worth it. Love is always worth it.
