I am taking Intro to Photography this semester..I am really excited about it and really hope to become a legit photographer. Anyway I am definitely learning a lot and am not real good yet but here are some of my favorite pictures I have taken so far..let me know what you think

Why has roller blading died?

Today I saw someone roller blading around campus. This is the first time I have seen someone roller blading in like 10 years. At first I thought it was funny and strange, then I found myself thinking, "Why don't people roller blade anymore?" I mean we used to, and this kid was flying across campus with a slight push of his leg. It looked fun. I remember the days of roller blading around my neighborhood and how cool I thought I was because I didn't need the four wheeled skates. Those were the good days. I think a big reason we don't use them anymore is because they are just not convenient. In our hectic busy lives we don't have time to put on and take off roller blades. BUT what if they made retractable roller blades? Huh? or detachable roller blades. You could just strap them on to what ever shoes you were wearing and bam! instant transportation that is so much quicker than walking!! Sure some kinks need to be worked out of it but I think its a darn good idea.

Anyway, I wish I would roller blade again, thats all I'm saying

Aunt Rae

As of 4:16 today I AM AN AUNT!!!!!! Ryland Shay Witt was born today weighing over 9 pounds and being completely beautiful!! It is the most amazing thing ever!!! I cannot believe she is finally here!!! Everything went really well and Sherah did wonderfully (so im told)!! I am so excited to start being an aunt!!! I cannot wait to hold her, and hear her laugh and watch her walk. I think the weirdest thing about this whole thing is thinking that my brother is now a dad. I know he is going to be an amazing Godly dad, I cannot wait to see him play that role!! I love you Kyle and Sherah!! I can't wait to come see you!! I am so so so so sorry I could not be there today. It killed me all day, it makes me sick, I know this was a moment I missed that I can never replace, it makes me want to cry when I think about it. Kyle, I'm sorry, I wanted to be there big brother.
