Tattwo

Lately I have been thinking a lot about getting my second tattoo...I really want 1 of three things...a sparrow somewhere on my back or hip, music notes on my foot, or one of a few verses on my other wrist..thoughts?? I know some would say don't get any, and I may not..but I might...

hmmmm...I kind of like the sparrow thing (the bird in the picture is actually really cool...). Or the music notes. If you get a sparrow, put it somewhere where it can be hidden under a wedding dress. Tattoos hanging out of wedding dresses....yuk. :0) Of course, that's just my opinion...whatever that's worth!

Please don't do it. You know they are there for life. WHY would be my question. You need to stop listening to your mother.

Ummmmm I do not think you need another "Tattwo". Not very pretty when you turn 70 someday. Not worth it. You are going through a phase.

yes I am commenting on my own blog..1. "anonymous" show yourself, who are you?
2. When I am 70 it won't matter, and you won't see them anyway. And it will be beautiful because it will be a part of who I am and who I was during this "phase" of my life. And my husband will still think its hot. Yes I am going through a phase, every part of your life is a phase.

Go for it Keisha.

I want to come back to Arkansas with my first one. Like a vine-ish thing with the word "abide" on my foot.

Your parents comments are funny because it sounds EXACTLY like my mom and dad.

Also. "Tattwo." Clever.

My opinion, don't get it. Not because I think tattoos are bad, but simply because I think the more you get the less they mean. Ok, stick with me while I try and explain.

The one on your wrist is VERY meaningful and showing that you would scribe on your body forever that you are God's child (very cool).

First, if you get another tat meaning something close to this or similar then to me they both become just tattoos and lose some of the signifigance of the first one. The more tats you have on your body the less I think it REALLY means something and the more I think it is just something really cool to do right now. (If its something really cool you want to do right now, then that is for you to decide)

Second, if you get something like music notes... does that symbolize your faithfulness to music is on the same level as your faithfullness to God? Keisha, please hear me when I say that I do NOT think this is true!!! I would NEVER question your faithfullness to God, only your motives to get the music notes as a tattoo. I know your life is music, it always has been. You live and breathe for good music. I know this about you. But, when I think of a tattoo, I think if your going to get one then it should be something extremly significant, something that would never change, not even slightly. Your relationship to God... never changing (well, growing, but you get the point)... music.... will you ALWAYS love music like you do now? Who knows? Maybe you will, maybe you won't.... but you never took a vow and comitted your life to music, why would you commit it on your body forever?

OK, I hope that makes some since, I don't know if it does, but these are my thoughts and you asked me to share them. :) All that being said, whatever you do I will love you no more or less, you are still Keisha and a tat does not change anything.

It sounds kinda cool to me! I think you should incorporate all 3 and put them on your hip! Maybe use the verse 'Sing a new song to the Lord' or ' 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!' I Cor 5:17(?) ... especially in light of the 'new Keisha' ... Good to hear how great your doing!
Love you!
